CranioSacral Therapy is a technique where a practitioner uses a feather light touch to test for and release restrictions of the cranial system. When there is tension or stress at certain points in the body, the body may be out of synchronization, causing ill health. CranioSacral therapy is administered through monitoring the rhythm of the cerebrospinal fluid’s flow through the system. By freeing tension from the spinal cord, the cerebral spinal flows more freely. It is relaxing, safe and effective; and CranioSacral therapy may alleviate numerous conditions including migraines, chronic fatigue, motor coordination impairments, stress and tension, and orthopedic problems. After CranioSacral therapy is administered, a common state of relaxation occurs and improves mental performance as well. When this treatment is given alone, the recipient may remain fully clothed. CranioSacral therapy is safe for children and adults.

Manual Lymph Drainage or MLD Massage is often recommended for pre and post-op Cosmetic Surgery procedures such as liposuction, breast enhancements, BBLs, body contouring and facelifts. MLD can begin as soon as 24 hours post-op. (Check with your surgeon). In a healthy individual with no medical complications, 5-10 treatments are usually adequate to assist in the healing process and relieve the discomfort of swelling and speed the healing of bruising. Manual Lymph Drainage
(Breast Cancer Related Lymphedema)
Lymphedema is an abnormal swelling and accumulation of fluid that can develop in the arm, hand, breast, or torso as a side effect of breast cancer surgery and/or radiation treatment. Some women can develop lymphedema months or even years following their surgeries.
Lymph is a thin, clear fluid that circulates throughout the body to remove waste, bacteria, and other substances from tissues. Lymphedema occurs when too much lymph accumulates in one area of the body. When people are treated for breast cancer, the treatment often damages their lymphatic system, and it starts to become damaged, and does not filter waste efficiently. When cancer patients undergo mastectomies, lymph nodes are commonly removed. Likewise, radiation can damage a healthy lymphatic system.
MLD for breast cancer related lymphedema is very light work on the skin, designed to move stagnant lymph out of the body, and to reduce the inflammation. Compression, self-care, and exercise may also be incorporated in your treatment sessions.
